At CPC, we’re proud to have team members who are leaders in their field. CPC’s in-house expertise in aseptic and sterile processing helps biopharmaceutical manufacturers make quick, easy and reliable sterile connections even in non-sterile environments. Now one of our experts, Derek Pendlebury, Ph.D., has shared his knowledge of single-use technology in the new book, “Aseptic and Sterile Processing: Control, Compliance and Future Trends.”
The book’s editors asked academic and industry leaders to provide their assessments of current risks in aseptic and sterile processing, and perspectives about new developments in the field. Pendlebury co-authored the chapter on single-use disposable technology with Mark Trotter of Trotter Biotech Solutions.
“We’re fully aware of bioprocessors’ needs around transferring fluids easily and safely while reducing the risk of processing errors,” said Pendlebury, CPC global OEM sales manager, Bioprocessing. “Connectors are critical components in single-use systems and processes. A breach in sterility or substandard performance at the point of connection can compromise the whole system. At CPC, we’ve amassed a great deal of knowledge over the years in how to maintain the integrity of bioprocessing operations and this book provides an excellent opportunity for readers to benefit from our deep experience.”
CPC’s sterile and leak-free connectors enable easier system integration while helping to mitigate operator errors through advanced, less technique-dependent designs like genderless connectors.
