How Are MRI System Cooled?
Cooling most medical imaging and MRI equipment and their components is done by using a coolant, such as liquid helium or water, which is cooled using a specialized system called a cryocooler. Without liquid cooling, the helium or other coolant evaporates and leaks out which can cause extensive damage to the magnet.
Optimize Medical Imaging and MRI Liquid Cooling with CPC Fluid Handling Connectors
CPC’s work with industry leading medical equipment designers means we understand the challenges and requirements of liquid cooled medical imaging and MRI equipment. We are familiar with issues that medical imaging manufacturers frequently face ─ including ease of operation and small equipment footprint requirements and coolant selection, to name a few. CPC’s fluid handling experience and expertise resulted in the development of CPC’s purpose built Everis® Series of quick disconnect couplings and connectors for use in liquid cooling of electronics applications including imaging equipment and systems.
